Worried About Privacy in Google? Try Scroogle.

Do you know Google knows you more than anyone?

Didn't Believe me? Try logging in to Google Dashboard. You will definitely change your view.

Just watch this video to know about Dashboard and Why Google created it.

Now, are you concerned about privacy? You don't have much options over it. All the Search Engines record your activities to provide a personalized search result. You may think of not logging into Google or other Search Engines while you search. Even that will not help you because search engines install small codes into your computer called Cookies to provide better results.

Still don't want to compromise on Privacy. Try Scroogle.org. This is a non-profit organization which queries your search terms on Google and returns the results on its page. The results returned are actually Google's results but there will be no Ads, no cookies, no user logins. So why don't you try your hands on it and enjoy searching with privacy.

Meet you soon.

Hi Rajesh

That's a nice post. I agree that privacy is important. But there's no fun without google. The scroogle thing cannot survive for long. The user himself will be upset. Things are about gaining knowledge. No ads no knowledge. Its true that we get most of the knowledge now a days through ads media, VAS.. Google is a complete package. Privacy is a personal care that user have to take it for himself. Switching from Google to others can give u privacy, but its like browsing on a old black and white television with just Door-Darshan Telecast-ed.

Any way good work. I like your site and other posts.

Thanks

You are right Sharath. Even I use Google. But there are still people who are very much concerned about privacy. Atleast 13000 people use scroogle.com daily and this service is active since dec. 2002. Thanks for commenting and keep reading.
